Bob Dylan has scheduled the first 2013 dates of his so-called "Never Ending Tour," a series of April shows that will see the folk-rock legend visiting a variety of cities in the Northeast and Midwest U.S.  The trek kicks off on April 5 in Buffalo, New York, and is mapped out through an April 21 performance in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Opening all of Dylan's shows will be the Los Angeles-based Americana band Dawes.

In other news, Dylan will release a limited-edition seven-inch vinyl single on April 20 in conjunction with the ongoing Record Store Day campaign.  The disc will feature a pair of previously unreleased recordings that will appear on the forthcoming 10th volume of the singer/songwriter's Bootleg Series -- a demo of "Wigwam" and a studio rendition of "Thirsty Boots."
