Look out, Taylor Swift, Steven Tyler is on the prowl. The 64-year-old Aerosmith frontman tells US Weekly he thinks the 23-year-old singer is “hot.”
Tyler made the comment last Sunday at a charity event in West Hollywood in response to a light-hearted question about who he’d like to intern for. The veteran rock star replied, "She's blonde with all the hits. Taylor Swift. She's hot."
Proving his intentions are legitimate, Tyler added, "More than that, she's beyond talented. I have to write a song with her."
In other Steven Tyler news, a piece of legislation he proposed to protect celebrities from members of the paparazzi was approved by the Hawaii state Senate last Tuesday. Known as the “Steven Tyler Act,” the legislation gives celebrities the right to sue if unwanted photographs and recordings are taken of them on the islands.
Tyler’s bill was introduced by Hawaii state Senator Kalani English after intrusive images were published of the rocker and his family during their stay in Maui last December. Tyler told Billboard he celebrated the bill's passage with a bottle of nonalcoholic champagne. He told the music magazine, "It's really about privacy at its upmost..."
Referring to his band mate, guitarist Joe Perry, the rocker added, "Now at least Joe and I can go to Maui and walk around naked in the back lawn and write some crazy songs."
