My Morning Jacket have achieved a career first as “Everyday Magic” becomes their second No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay chart from their album, Is, following May’s one-week reign of the project’s lead single, “Time Waited.” This marks the first time that the Jim James-led band has scored two No. 1 hits from the same record. MMJ has now notched three career No. 1s on the chart, including the five week rule of 2020’s “Feel You,” alongside a history of multiple Top 10 hits dating back to their first appearance on the chart in 2008 with the No. 5 peak of “I’m Amazed.” Concurrently, “Everyday Magic” also climbed to No. 32 on the Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, helping to further promote Is, which debuted at No. 16 on the Top Alternative Albums chart, and has subsequently earned 27,000 equivalent album units to date.
