Bruce Springsteen made a guest appearance in the latest episode of Larry David‘s hit HBO TV show “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” on Sunday (March 31).

Appearing as himself in the penultimate episode of the show’s 12th season, Springsteen organizes a meeting with David, misjudging him as the hero awaiting trial in Georgia for offering water to a voter outside of a polling place.

During their conversation, David finds himself responsible for giving Springsteen Covid due to a water glass debacle, forcing the rock star to cancel his farewell shows.

The storyline on the episode is a play on what happened to Springsteen’s 2023 tour. First, E Street band members Steven Van Zandt and Soozie Tyrel missed Texas gigs after testing positive for Covid. Subsequently, Jake Clemons and half of the band’s touring backup singers missed dates due to Covid.

Springsteen also made a cameo in an earlier episode this season, titled “The Lawn Jockey.”
